Temperature Controlled Transport Boxes
Requirement : To accurately track and locate 175,000 temperature controlled boxes around the World
Challenges :
- 80 International Warehouses operating without local IT resources and with local Wi-Fi of varying quality.
- Numerous different Inventory Bay sizes and in varying condition.
- Transport Assets which contain water panels and aluminium sheeting, deflecting Radio Frequency Signals
- Missing Boxes, a high percentage of units not located, some costing up to €3000
SmartRFID Solution :
- Designed, built and tested suitable plug and Play RFID Scanning Tower suitable for transporting and installing into 80 locations
- Built in Routers with IOT SIM Cards to automatically connect to Local Wi-Fi Operators, enabling remote monitoring and service of equipment
- Extensive testing of assets on pallets, resulted in the maximum number of assets on one pallet to achieve the best scanning performance
- Missing Assets found, advised by the Client total cost of the system was recovered within the first 12 months.
